2 International Dr., Mooseheart, Illinois OBJECTIVES for Women of the Moose shallbe to:a: Bring women together in a closer fraternal relationship toassist in charitable activities of the Moose fraternity, withspecial attention to Mooseheart and : Emulate and advance the virtues of Faith, Hope andCharity and to carry Mooseheart standards into our homesand communities through community : Promote the aims and purposes of the Loyal Order OF THE MOOSE CHAPTERS: AWomen of the Moose Chapter may only be organized byMoose International or official representatives authorized bythe Grand Chancellor. All members in a chapter that forfeitsits charter are merged into Allheart Chapter #3000. Duescollected shall be used for charitable purposes at Mooseheartand Moosehaven.

3 The office for Chapter #3000 is located atMoose International, Mooseheart, Illinois INSTITUTION of a chapter shall be asauthorized by the Supreme Council, functioning through theGrand Council of the Women of the Moose. Not more thanone (1) chapter shall be established as a unit of any memberLodge of the Loyal Order of Laws 2014:Layout 2 1/5/2015 9:55 AM Page 1 Section CHARTER shall be granted to a new Chaptermeeting all NAME of a duly authorized chapter shallcorrespond with the name of the Lodge organizing the chartered, the chapter shall be assigned a number. Achapter can voluntarily dissolve with a majority vote of theactive members of the Women of the Moose shall bedesignated as DEGREES OF THE WOMEN OF THEMOOSE shall be:a.

In thecenter of the surface there shall be the imprint of a goldstanding Moose about which there shall be the words Organized 1913.

5 Section 13. The COLORS of the Women of the Moose shallbe red, white and purple, purple being the predominant 14. LODGE AND CHAPTER. a. The lodge and chapter shall work together to promote andsupport approved International fraternal programs. TheBoard of Officers of the lodge and chapter shall, each month,2 General Laws 2014:Layout 2 1/5/2015 9:55 AM Page 2meet jointly to agree upon the dates for special meetings andsocial functions of the chapter, to be held in the MooseHome, in accordance with the lodge policies. All chapterofficers and members shall adhere to the lodge The Lodge House Committee shall have authority andjurisdiction to deny the use of the social quarters to anyco-worker. Any active co-worker who has beensuspended from the social quarters shall not be deniedattendance at official chapter meetings and chapter socialfunctions off lodge Any co-worker suspended from membership in thechapter shall NOT use her membership card to gainadmittance to any lodge social quarters until the period ofsuspension is lifted and her membership has beenrestored.

6 In addition, a co-worker whose membership isin a state of suspension shall not enter any lodge socialquarters as a guest during her period of suspension. Thesame ruling applies if an entire chapter is Discipline of a co-worker s adverse actions toward thechapter or any co-worker inside the chapter room, or awayfrom the Moose Home/property, shall be handled by thechapter in accordance with the regulations pertaining tochapter operations. (Refer to the General Laws of the LoyalOrder of Moose.)e. Situations that develop from a misunderstanding betweenthe lodge and chapter, which cannot be adjustedsatisfactorily by the Board of Officers of both units, shallbe reported to association representatives of AND International shall authorize paraphernalia and suppliesfor the operation of chapters.

7 All supplies and paraphernaliashall be procured through the Moose Catalog SalesDepartment, Mooseheart, Illinois 60539-1171. Any chapteror member thereof who shall make or use any unauthorizedsupplies or paraphernalia shall be guilty of an offensepunishable by suspension or expulsion at the discretion ofMoose Laws 2014:Layout 2 1/5/2015 9:55 AM Page 3 Women of the Moose pins, rings, official receipts, paraphernalia,stationery, Minutes books, General Laws, Meeting Proceduresand Agendas book, and other items shall be purchased from theMoose Catalog Sales Department, Mooseheart, Illinois various tribunals of the Order shall have jurisdiction to tryand determine the rights of members under the Laws of theOrder.

8 No member, chapter or unit of the Order shall apply toany civil court or administrative agency for the enforcement ofany right, or determination of any grievance, arising under or byvirtue of the Laws of the Order. (Refer to the General Laws ofthe Loyal Order of Moose.)Section powers legislative, executive, judicial and appointive, for thegovernance of the Women of the Moose are in the SupremeCouncil. In the exercise of the above mentioned powers, theSupreme Council, except as hereinafter provided, will functionthrough a special committee which shall be known as the GrandCouncil of the Women of the Grand Council of the Women of the Moose, with theconsent and approval of the Supreme Council, shall have thepower and authority to call a conference of all the chapterswithin the Moose domain, and to call state/provincial and groupconferences whenever and wherever deemed 19.

9 GRAND The Grand Chancellor, appointed by the SupremeCouncil, is the Chief Executive Officer of the Women ofthe Moose and shall serve for such term and receive suchcompensation as may be The Grand Chancellor shall have supervisory andadvisory powers over all activities of the Women of theMoose everywhere. The Grand Chancellor shall serve onthe Grand Council and on all similar bodies operating inthe name of the Women of the Laws 2014:Layout 2 1/5/2015 9:55 AM Page 4c. The Grand Chancellor shall have authority to suspend aco-worker of any chapter for improper conduct as amember of the Women of the Moose, pending aninvestigation of the actions or conduct of such suspension shall continue until the final dispositionof the matter; provided the member involved in the matterreferred to in this section shall be given an opportunity toshow cause before final action of the Grand disposition may include a reprimand, fine,suspension, expulsion, or such other action as determinedto be appropriate at the discretion of the GrandChancellor.

10 Right of appeal shall be provided inaccordance with the General Laws of the Loyal Order Any officer or member may be suspended or removed dueto incompetence, dishonesty, immorality or any othercause discovered by an authorized representative. Anysuspended officer or member shall no longer perform theduties of any office or function in the The Grand Chancellor shall have the discretionary powerand authority to suspend the charter of any chapter thathas violated the General Laws of the Women of theMoose and/or Loyal Order of Moose or that, in heropinion, has ceased to be a positive and fraternaloperation. She shall also have the discretionary powerand authority to revoke the charter of any chapter whichhas ceased to function in accordance with the GeneralLaws of the Women of the Moose and/or the Constitutionand By-laws of Moose International and the SupremeLodge of the Loyal Order of The Grand Chancellor may issue special dispensationwaiving any election and authorize one or more officesbe filled by appointment.
