1 MAP. Waihee Ridge Trail 1. Trail Length: mi. Hakuhee Point Activity: Pedestrian Difficulty: Moderate Moke'ehia Island Elevation: 1563 ft (Seabird Sanctuary). Click here for Map of Maui Roads Puu Makawana Directions: From Kahekili Highway (340), turn up Maluhia Road and go miles. A sign on a fence marks the Trail head. West Maui Natural Area Follow right-of-way markers Reserve through pasture before entering Kahakuloa Section forest. Hulu Island Maluhia (Seabird Sanctuary). Route: Beginning at 1,000` Road elevation, Trail climbs the windward slope of west Maui Waihee 340 Point through a brushy guava thicket, a young stand of planted trees, and wet native scrub forest. Views of Waihee Gorge and Makamakaole Gulch can be seen along the way. On the peak, at 2,563` are panoramic views of Wailuku and central Maui, the Kahakuloa Waihee slopes, and Mount Eke.
2 Weather at the summit varies from clear to overcast with showers. No drinking water is available along the Trail . Camping is not permitted. Wear bright colored clothing.
