All statutory requirements relating to this equipment must be compliedwith at all NOT APPLY HEAT TO THE IMPELLER HUB OR INLET EYETO ASSIST IMPELLERREMOVAL. APPLICATION OF HEAT MAY RESULT IN SHATTERING OF THE IMPELLER ,RESULTING IN INJURY OR EQUIPMENT NOT OPERATE THE PUMP FOR AN EXTENDED TIME WITH ZERO OR VERY TO OBSERVE THIS WARNING COULD RESULT IN OVERHEATING OFTHE PUMP, AND VAPORISATION OF THE PUMPED FLUID, WITH GENERATION OF VERYHIGH PRESSURES. SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONNEL, OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT MAYRESULT FROM SUCH DRIVE MOTOR ROTATION PRIOR TO FITTING OF DRIVE BELTS MOTOR ROTATION MAY CAUSE PERSONNEL INJURY OREQUIPMENT NOT FEED VERY HOT OR VERY COLD FLUID INTO A PUMP AT SHOCK MAY RESULT IN FRACTURE OF PUMP WARMAN PUMP MUST BE REGARDED AS BOTH AN ITEM OF ROTATINGMACHINERY, AND A PRESSURE RELEVANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ANDPROCEDURES FOR SUCH EQUIPMENT SHOULD BE OBSERVED DURING PUMPINSTALLATION, OPERATION AND AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT IS ASSOCIATED WITH A PUMP(eg MOTORS, DRIVEBELTS, DRIVE COUPLINGS, SPEED REDUCERS, VARIABLE SPEED DRIVES.)

Other publications in the set comprise the following: part 1:Assembly, Operating and Maintenance Instructions General Instructions for allTypes of WARMAN 3A, 3B, or 3C :One of these publications, depending on the type of BearingAssembly fitted, viz. Basic, Modified Basic, or Oil 4A:Impeller Release Collar (if applicable) AND FEATURES OF TYPE D , G and GH DREDGE AND GRAVEL PUMPST hese PUMPS are of heavy-duty construction, designed for continuous pumping of highlyabrasive slurries containing large particles with high efficiencies, and low maintenance andownership cost.

They feature an unlined casing design, characterised by design simplicity, and minimum number of parts. Type D Dredge PUMPS are designed for dredging and similar low head G Gravel PUMPS are similar in design to Type D PUMPS , but typically have largerimpellers and heavier casings for pumping to higher GH High Head Gravel PUMPS are again similar to Types D and G PUMPS , buttypically have larger impeller diameters than the G range, and stronger casings to permitpumping to higher heads, up to 80 metres. A common application is in dredging dutiesincorporating long discharge PUMPS may be fitted with a range of seal types depending on the particularrequirements, including the WARMAN centrifugal seal, and water flushed packed gland design features of this range of WARMAN Slurry PUMPS include.

Cartridge type Bearing Assembly Casing attachment by quick-release clamps Heavy duty screw thread Impeller attachment Through-bolt design throughout Easily replaceable Shaft Sleeve Replaceable casing components Minimum number of casing componentsIf problems are experienced during pump operation, reference should be made to the FaultDetection Chart in Appendix A of part 1 of the Pump Manual. If operating problems are notrectified by following instructions in the Chart, assistance should be sought from the WARMAN Group office, or its local PUMPS Assembly, Operating, and Maintenance Instructions part 2L2-1 ISSUE DATE :1 June OF PARTSEach WARMAN pump part has a unique name and a three-digit Basic part Number.

Partswith the same name have the same Basic part Number, regardless of pump size. Forexample, the Expeller of every WARMAN pump has the Basic part Number letters and numbers are added before and after the Basic part Number to furtherdefine a component part of a particular pump, as described in part 1 of the Assembly,Operating, and Maintenance Instruction Manual. This expanded marking is identified as thePart Number, and represents a unique identification for each component part . The PartNumber is normally cast or otherwise prominently marked on each example, part Number FD14013 identifies the Door to fit the casing of the 14/14F-DWarman Dredge Pump. Refer to the Component Diagram of the appropriate size of WarmanPump for complete identification and description of component parts.

part names and BasicPart Numbers are used in assembly instructions throughout this instruction manual. WarmanBasic part Numbers for all component parts of Type D , G and GH PUMPS are listed inthe Appendix of this publication. In all communications with the WARMAN Group, or its representatives, and particularlywhen ordering spare parts, it is recommended that the correct component names and PartNumbers be used at all times to avoid supply of incorrect parts. The pump serial numbershould also be quoted if any doubt exists as to part ASSEMBLY ASSEMBLY AND MAINTENANCE The Bearing Assembly is assembled and maintained as described in the separatepublication, part 3A, 3B, or 3C of the Instruction Manual, depending on the type fitted, asindicated in Section BEARINGS AND CENTRIFUGAL SEAL It is recommended that grease used for lubricating both the rolling bearings (whereapplicable), and the packed gland of the centrifugal seal, should have the followingcharacteristics:Lithium soap base grease with EP additives and oxidation Consistency No:2 Drop Point> 170 CWork penetration 25 C 295 RECOMMENDED GREASE.

SHELL ALVANIA EP GREASE 2,CASTROL EPL2, or detailed description of lubrication requirements for the rolling bearings, refer to theseparate publication, part 3 of the Instruction Manual as listed in Section 1, for the particularBearing Assembly fitted to the PUMPS Assembly, Operating, and Maintenance Instructions part 2L2-2 ISSUE DATE :1 June 2001 The static seal chamber of centrifugally sealed PUMPS should be lubricated sparingly butregularly by means of the grease nipple fitted to the Expeller Ring. Several shots from agrease gun per 12 hours running time, based on mid-range pump size, are recommended toform an adequate seal at the packing ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONSR eference to a Component Diagram for the particular pump being assembled will be ofassistance in following the instructions outlined in the following parts dismantled during pump overhaul should be inspected to assess suitability for re-use, and identification of new parts should be checked.

Parts suitable for re-use should becleaned and painted. Matching faces should be free of rust, dirt, and burrs, and have acoating of anti-seize compound applied prior to fasteners should preferably be replaced, and all threads coated with graphite greasebefore assembly. Replacement of all elastomer seals is recommended at major overhauls,as these materials tend to deteriorate with use. Exposure to direct and continuous sunlightwill accelerate elastomer Bearing Assembly to Base - Refer Figs 1 and 8(i)Insert ADJUSTING SCREW (001) in BASE (003) from end face. Fix to Baseby fitting one nut and fully tighten. Fit two additional nuts separated by two flatwashers. These nuts should be loose on Adjusting Screw and spaced well apart.
