A resident of San Diego since 1927, *Glenn A. rick had been actively engaged in shaping the community, serving with, and later heading, the City of San Diego's Planning Department from 1928 1955. When he, along with the help of his son Bill, founded rick Engineering Company, the man who became known for his foresight in creating a recreation and tourist mecca as the father of Mission Bay was already envisioning the San Diego we live in today. rick 's expectation of how the community would develop but- tressed his focus for the firm and led to an impressive array of future projects that would include Fashion Valley and University Towne Centre malls; and entire communities, including Scripps Ranch, Sabre Springs, Black Mountain Ranch, and EastLake Residential/Golf Course Community, to house the constant Glenn A. rick stream of new residents to our area.
