MSBL / MABL World Series TV Broadcast A Big Hit With The Players Informative Internet Show Brings A Sports Center Quality To The Tournament By Tom Prendergast Through the years, the MSBL / MABL World Series has always been on the cutting edge when it comes to technology. Never more so however than this year as the WS has utilized the website to stream a daily video broadcast via the national MSBL website. The scores are posted in real time as soon as the games are completed and the divisional standings for each division along with the current runs allowed totals are available on demand. In addition each team manager has the opportunity to input his teams roster and player stats on their own individual page on the MSBL / MABL national website.

With over 500 games played, he has never missed a game due to injury. He remembers the story of Wally Pipp of the Yankees, who sat out one day with a headache and lost his place in the lineup permanently to a young man named Lou Gehrig. A regular with the OC Sox in the SoCal MSBL since 1996, John s team has won the Palm Springs Classic in 2008, 2010, and 2012. They were 35+ Mountain Runner Up at the World Series in 2005.

3 For those 11 straight years attending Arizona and Palm Springs, the Sox enjoy their entire league team participating and hanging together in the environment that could only be described as baseball heaven. Married for 25 years to Jeannie has been it s own reward, as she leaves the baseball enjoyment up to John. She has probably only made it to three games, but recognizes the value he sees in being such a committed teammate. Among the many favorite moments through over a decade of baseball trips, John shares how his buddy Ron Freight Train Terrell explained to Lee Frankel how great pitching will always beat great hitting. Of course, he had just struck out against the worst pitcher they had ever seen!
