The purpose is to identify WV businesses as well as promote the use of west Virginia Forest Products in local, regional, national, and international markets. The Products are arranged by two main categories: commercial Products and consumer Products . Commercial Products are generally produced in large quantities and sold in bulk to other companies for further processing to make other Products or sold at the retail level. These Products are shipped to regional, national, and international markets by truck, rail, or containers via ports throughout the United States. Consumer Products are items made with the individual customer in mind. Many of these companies are small businesses that offer a base product , but can customize the product built on the specifications of the consumer.

These Products are typically sold to the local and regional markets, however many companies have established customers on the national level.
