I feel the same sense of eagerness when welcoming people to get to know us better by learning more about Northern . My message to all is this: Northern has been educating thousands of students at the Wheeling, Weirton, and New Martinsville campuses for more than 40 years, and our record of excellence in the classroom, affordability, and accessibility has been cemented because of those successful 's faculty and staff are committed to serving students and assisting them in reaching their goals.

7 Our website has detailed information on our more than 70 programs in the arts and sciences and career-technical education, and dozens of continuing education offerings. You'll find also there are nearly 20 specialized 2+2 transfer programs with numerous four-year institutions, enabling seamless transfer for those who wish to seek a four-year degree. Also, WVNCC was the first two-year institution in the area to offer degrees that can be earned totally online. That, coupled with numerous other online courses, offers options to students who seek such partnerships with area business and local school districts are most beneficial to students, and gratifying to those who lead the institution. During the past few years, we have expanded and upgraded our facilities and strived to react quickly to needs of the Community . Our sense of Community service is an important part of who we are, both inside and outside the classroom.
