1 work Zone Traffic Control Technician Course Objectives: The work Zone Traffic Control Technician is an introduction to the basic principles of temporary work zone Traffic Control . The course is designed to instruct the participants in the underlying principles of temporary Traffic Control as set forth in the MUTCD. The course will provide students with practical knowledge, techniques, and instruction on the installation and maintenance of Traffic Control devices to enable them in applying practical concepts. Prerequisites: None.
2 Who should attend? Any individual responsible for setting up, taking down, or affecting the Traffic Control scheme. It is intended for individuals working for governmental agencies , utility companies, and private contractors. Approved Courses: The Transportation Cabinet currently recognizes the three work zone Traffic Control Technician classes below. A passing grade from any of the three courses will be accepted. Qualification will be valid for 5 years.
