Increased Melt Flow A compounder of recycled polyolefins was able to dramatically increase the melt flow rate of a polypropylene resin containing ~25% high-density polyethylene with the addition of of STRUKTOL RP 37 processing aid/. viscosity modifier. The higher melt compound also resulted in better processing and release properties in both extrusion and injection molding applications due to the synergistic effect of this multi-component additive.

5 STRUKTOL RP 37 enabled the customer to improve and add value to an otherwise difficult to process material. The addition level of STRUKTOL RP 37 is adjusted depending on the melt flow of the starting compound and the desired melt flow required for the application.
