Box 441, Hoopeston IL 60942 Hoopeston Area High School graduates 71 members of the Class of 2022 Saturday afternoon Hoopeston Area High School held its 144th Com-mencement Saturday afternoon, graduating 71 members of the Class of 2022 in an outdoor ceremony at Glenn Brasel Field. The high school band performed the prelude, followed by the processional. When all graduates were assembled, the band played the National Anthem. John Klaber, Hoopeston Area High School principal, gave a welcome address, followed by the salutatorian address by Skyler Morgan. Senior class officers Kylie Pickett, Emily Ray and Makenzie Tate gave reflections on their high school years.

Potomac died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Potomac Ceme-tery. Apolinar Solis Jr., 32, was found in the cell by Iroquois County correctional officers who were booking him into the jail on an outstanding Newton County, Ind., arrest warrant, according to a press release issued by Iroquois County Coroner William Cheatum.
