Madden (40 year Anniversary) by: Mother, Linda Madden Brenholts The Living and Deceased of the parish Mass Readings and Intentions FROM FATHER TERRY J+M+J All flesh shall see the salvation of God. (Lk 3:6) This is what we prepare for in Advent. We ready our hearts to see God, to see Jesus at Christmas and at his Second Coming in glory. Please notice that we are told, all flesh.

9 This is so because Jesus comes for everyone. If we want to Prepare the way of the Lord, how about evangelizing a world that desperately needs it? (4) That is, one of the ways that we can ready our hearts this Advent is to tell all flesh about the Salvation who is on the way. How are we doing in spreading the Gospel, in telling all flesh the Good News? We have an amazing opportunity each day to tell the world about Jesus. We can pray for people to be open, we can be holy , we can be filled with hope and joy, we can invite someone to church, we can learn and share our faith, we can pray at various moments throughout the day, we can offer to pray with someone, we can stand up for what is right, and we can be proud to be catholic !

10 What comes to mind for you? How have you recently evangelized? The world becomes a much better place with Jesus in it. If we want to prepare our hearts for Jesus, let s prepare other people s hearts for Jesus. We celebrate the Immaculate Conception this Wednesday, December 8. This wonderful solemnity calls us to rejoice in Our Lady being conceived without Original Sin from her parents Saints Joachim and Anne. Further, Mary remained sinless throughout her entire life. The Immaculate Conception was declared infallible teaching by Pope Pius IX in 1854, with such a notion developing over several prior centuries.
