1 year 11 gcse RESISTANT MATERIALS . Essential information for parents of pupils who are studying RESISTANT MATERIALS as their technology option. The course consists of an internally assessed design and Make project taught over 65 lessons. This is marked out of 90 (60% of total). This is followed by a two-hour written theory exam sat in June 2018 (40% of total). The project is split into different sections with the marks shown below together with key deadline dates for each section. Pupils work is assessed at regular intervals with verbal and written feedback given improvements are allowed however this must be done during lunchtime booster sessions or as homework.
