Welcome to Hendersons Educational Services. Since 1990, we have been helping higher achieving students perform at their best and assisting them on their path to success. We are specialists in preparing students for exams and have delivered consistently superior results for our clients over the last twenty-eight years. We look forward to sharing our knowledge, resources and passion for excellence in education with your family. All Hendersons teaching staff are experienced and highly qualified teachers. They are carefully selected to ensure our philosophy and exemplary teaching standards are maintained. Our programs are conducted over a limited period of time as we believe that students will retain the information better and be more able to build on what they have learnt.

2 The groups are made up of like-minded students so that the sessions flow and cater to their specific needs. The content and approach of our workshops and practice exams are based on the types of papers found in the actual exams your child will be sitting. This book is relevant for students who are sitting an exam when they are in year 4 or they are in year 5. 1. SCHOLARSHIP POTENTIAL. Does your child have the potential to achieve a scholarship? School feedback Your child's teachers have probably made comments like: is an eager reader, provides very alert, rapid answers to questions, has a wide range of interests, displays a great curiosity, especially for new things, uses a lot of commonsense, has an interest in cause-effect relationships, has higher than usual powers of concentration. NAPLAN results Another indicator will be your child's NAPLAN results. KEY Indivdual student result National Average Reading Numeracy Band 6 Band 6.

3 Band 5 Band 5. Band 4 Band 4. Band 3 Band 3. Band 2 Band 2. Band 1 Band 1. Students who are suitable for our workshops will generally score in the top triangle (top 5% of Victorian students) or in Band 6 (the next 10% of Victorian students) in Reading and Numeracy. These basic skills need to be at a very high standard when considering workshops for competitive exams. Educational Assessment by Hendersons If you are uncertain whether your child should sit a scholarship or entrance exam, then an individual Educational Assessment will assist in providing you with clarity. They take three hours, including up to fifteen minutes feedback and cost $300. Please refer to our Information Booklet, our website or call the office on 9813 0277 for more information. 2.
