The actual 2019 company contribution to your account is based on the medical coverage level you choose during open enrollment. If you're already participating, you don't need to do anything to get the company contribution or more again in 2019. If you aren't participating and want to start in 2019, you must act during open enrollment to receive the company contribution: enroll in either the Chevron High Deductible health Plan (HDHP) or the High Deductible health Plan Basic (HDHP Basic) and then open the BenefitWallet HSA. You'll still have the same health and welfare benefit information you had before with navigation that makes it easy to complete your 2019 open enrollment. See the next page for first-time access instructions. Open enrollment is the first phase of this transition to a new benefits administration platform. In mid-year 2019 you'll also have access to new tools and enhancements to model and commence your Chevron pension benefits. Watch for more information in 2019, when the transition is complete, and these new features become available. temporary transition process Transition to the new benefits administration platform will take place over several months, starting with health and welfare benefits at open enrollment this year, and ending with pension benefits sometime in 2019.
7 During the transition, there will be a temporary process for accessing your personal benefits information and making certain benefit changes or updates due to life events and retirement. If you experience any of the situations listed below during this transition, there may be a temporary process you'll need to follow. Change your benefits due to a life event, Add or remove dependents to your coverage. such as a marriage or birth of a child. Update beneficiary designations. Review your current 2018 benefit elections. Update your address. Review your 2019 benefit elections. If you are leaving Chevron. You should continue to access 2018 and 2019 benefit information by going to or by calling the HR Service center at 1-888-825-5247, just as you do today. 8 There is a new log in process with enhanced security measures commonly used by many websites today to prevent anyone other than you from accessing your personal information online. Here's how to create your account starting October 8: Go to from work or home, from any device, including your smartphone or tablet. Choose the link for BenefitConnect and use the First Time Log In button. You'll need to register and create a password on your first visit. Follow the instructions on the screen to enter personal information that identifies you. You only need to follow these steps on your first visit. After your initial log in, you'll use your password and registered email or phone number if you are logging in from outside the Chevron network. automatic login is available, but you should still create an account Automatic login from the Chevron network will be available starting October 8. However, it's still a good idea to register an account right away in the event you need to access the website from a computer, smartphone or tablet not connected to the Chevron network.
9 Hold on to your PIN for a little longer Because the transition process will occur over several months, it's a good idea to hold on to both the password you create for the new BenefitConnect website, and the password PIN you already use for the current benefits enrollment website. During the transition, there may be times you'll be directed to access the new BenefitConnect website, and at other times you'll continue to access the current benefits enrollment website. Don't worry, automatic login from the Chevron network will be available for both websites during the transition to make it easy. Remember, always go to when you need to manage your benefits; the website will help you find the information you need. September 2018. 5. do I need to do anything? Don't forget, open enrollment is your annual opportunity to review your benefit options for the coming year. During open enrollment, you can decide to keep the coverage you currently have or make changes , such as switching to another medical plan option, adding a dependent to your coverage, or start participating in other optional benefit plans.
10 If you miss the open enrollment deadline, you generally can't make any changes until the next open enrollment period in the fall of 2019 for 2020 benefits. However, you can make changes to certain benefits outside of the open enrollment period within the 31-day deadline after a qualifying life event, such as a marriage or birth.
