Houston, TX Univation Technologies LLC, announced that Yulin Energy and Chemical Limited of Yanchang Petroleum Group Company ( Yulin ) has selected Univation s unipol PE Process for a 300,000 tonnes-per year polyethylene plant. The facility will be located in Shaanxi Province, People s Republic of China. The unipol PE Process facility will be fed by a unique combination of conventional feedstock and coal-to-olefins feedstock. Coupled with Univation 's state-of-the-art polyethylene technology, the facility will produce linear low-density polyethylene. We are very pleased that Yulin Energy awarded us their business. The unipol PE Process is ideal for this facility since it offers proven reliability no other technology can provide" noted Kenneth Glover, Univation Technologies President. Yulin selected the unipol PE Process due to its flexible and simple technology platform which can be adapted to meet changing market needs.

2 Planned start-up of the facility is 2013. The Yulin license continues to expand Univation s customer base in China. There are now over 20 unipol PE Process reactors in operation or under construction in China. Univation recently announced the construction start-up of a new UCAT J Catalyst plant in China. The plant will supply the local growing catalyst demand for licensees of the unipol PE Gas-Phase Process. As the demand for PE increases in China and product needs change, our flexible process technology, supported by our advanced catalysts, will allow Yulin to take advantage of additional opportunities, noted Steven Stanley, Vice President of Univation Technologies.
