Back to the top 3 Using Zoom to Record Yourself and Your Screen When you are ready to record yourself and your screen, visit , and sign in to your account. Make sure you are on a computer that has working camera and microphone. Select Host and select the With Video On option. If prompted, select Open Zoom Meetings. Select Join with Computer Audio. Turning on Your Video and Audio Camera (Video) If you selected Host With Video On in the previous step, you should have started the meeting with your video camera on. If not, select Start Video. Microphone (Audio) To turn on your microphone, select the Unmute button. 4 Tip: You will know if your video and microphone are on if the red slash over the microphone and video camera icons are removed. On: Off: Back to the top Sharing Your Screen To share your share screen, document, or PowerPoint slides, open that particular file and select Share Screen.

3 Then select what you want to share from the options provided. o If you want to just share your screen, select the correct screen. o If you want to share a document or file, select that option. o If you want to share your PowerPoint, select the PowerPoint option. Then select Share. 5 Your screen should change so you appear in the top-right corner, the content you are sharing should appear in the middle, and the Zoom controls will be on the top-middle of your screen. Tip: Feel free to adjust the size and placement of your face. Making your image larger may help your professor see your facial expressions better. Just be sure not to block too much of the content you are presenting. Back to the top Recording Your Presentation Now that you are all set up, it is time to record your presentation. Select More and select Record. Tips: Practice BEFORE recording. Consider printing out your script or talking points for reference. In order to maintain professionalism, be mindful of your clothing choices, the objects in your background, and the noise level in your home.

4 Give your presentation. Remember to speak clearly, look at your camera when possible, and breathe. You got this! When you are done, select More and select Stop Recording. 6 Select Stop Share. Select End and then End Meeting for All. Zoom will take a few minutes to convert your recording. How long it takes will depend on its length. While it is converting, it is best not to run too many other programs. It may slow down the process. Once it is done converting, a file folder will appear with your recording files. You want to rename and save the MP4 File. That is your video file. 7 To rename your file, right select it and select Rename. Tip: Rename your file something meaningful and easy to find. Perhaps include the course, the assignment, and your last name. To easily save your MP4 file to the desktop so you can easily find it, right select the file, select Send to, and select Desktop (create shortcut). Double-select the MP4 to review your recording.

5 Make sure it looks and sounds how you would like it to. If your assignment asks you to submit a video file ( , MP4), you are all set. If you need to provide a link to your video, follow the directions on the next page. Back to the top 8 Uploading Your Video Recording to YouTube to Get a Shareable Link Visit Select Sign In. Either sign in with your existing Google account or select Create Account. Once you are signed in, select your profile picture, and select Create a channel. Enter in a name for your Channel and select Create Channel. Select the Create icon and select Upload video. 9 Select Continue. Select Select Files and locate the MP4 video file you would like to upload to YouTube. Give your video a title. Pan down and select the audience for your video (e ither Yes or No is acceptable). Then select Next. 10 On the following Checks screen, select Next. YouTube will ensure your video does not have any copyright issues.

6 Select Next. For visibility, select Unlisted and then select Save. Copy the link to your video. This link can now be shared with your professor and/or peers.
