2017ANNUAL REPORT2016STATEMENT FROM THE CHAIR OFLIVEWIRE S BOARD, ALAN YATESOur work has continued to be recognised locally, regionally and nationally over the past 12 months and our key achievements convey how LiveWire is held as an exemplar by national bodies and trusts across the country: Five of the primary schools that our PE and School Sports Team work with were awarded the Association for PE (afPE) Quality Mark an award given to schools that show continuous development and outstanding practice in physical education and sport Westy Boxing Club was named the nation s best project for promoting community safety at the StreetGames Awards LiveWire s Neighbourhood Engagement Officer, Paul Flannery, was given a Community Thank You award by Cheshire Police for the work he does to tackle anti-social behaviour The Fit to Tackle Rugby Team won the Master Rugby Award at Warrington s Man of Steel Awards Birchwood Leisure & Tennis Complex was selected as a venue to host the Davis Cup during its tour of BritainI remain extremely confident and positive about the future of LiveWire and would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the staff and my fellow directors, who have worked extremely hard over the last year, in sometimes challenging circumstances.
