Department of Defense INSTRUCTION NUMBER February 17, 2006 USD(P) SUBJECT: Defense Continuity plan Development Reference: (a) DoD Directive , Defense Continuity Program (DCP), September 8, 2004 1. PURPOSE This Instruction implements policy, assigns responsibility, and provides instructions for Continuity plan Development under the authority of Reference (a). 2. APPLICABILITY AND SCOPE This Instruction applies to the Office of the Secretary of Defense , the Military Departments, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense , the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities within the Department of Defense (hereafter referred to collectively as the)

DoDI 3020.42, February 17, 2006 5.3.4. Submit continuity plans every 2 years, or sooner if changes occur that require plan reissuance, to the DCCM for review.
