Do not connect an external power source or operate the generator-welder until it has been properly grounded. Electrical faults in the generator-welder, load lines, or equipment can cause death by electrocution from contact with an ungrounded system. When filling the fuel tank, do not smoke or use an open flame in the vicinity. Maintain a metal-to-metal contact between the filling container and the tank to prevent sparks from being generated as fuel flows over the metallic surfaces.
