Refrigerant Changeover Guidelines CFC-12 to R-401B/R-409A

R-401B/409A is a mixture of 50% mineral oil and 50% alkylbenzene. Copeland approved polyol ester lubricants can also be used with R-401B/409A if the system is expected to be changed in the near future to an HFC refrigerant such as R-134a. This will eliminate the need of having to fl ush the system again when making the R-134a retrofi t.
