If your child can not be safe in your care, your DCBS social service worker must have a plan, in no longer than 12 months from the ECO for placing your child in a safe and permanent home. Unless otherwise decided by the court, the goal of the cabinet is to safely return your child to you or the caregiver from whom they were removed.
