Arrangement 4 is a direct drive fan with the impeller mounted directly on the motor shaft. This drive arrangement is the most compact and requires minimum maintenance and service, as there are no fan bearings, fan shaft or drive parts to maintain. Standard Arrangement 4 fans are suitable to 200°F operating temperature.
