Anthrax - Wisconsin Department of Health Services
Anthrax infection can occur in three forms: cutaneous (skin), inhalation, and gastrointestinal. Spores of the bacterium B. anthracis can live in the soil for many years, and livestock can become infected by grazing on contaminated pasture.
