ASTIA absorbed activities previously carried on separately by the Navy Research Section and the Air Documents O:ff'ice. In accordance with the provisions of the directive, copies of or scientific reports in the fields of research and development produced by contractors of the Defense Agencies or received by anyone of the Defense Departments are deposited with ASTIA .
