There is no intrinsic standard for the Ampere, so in practice the Ampere is realized by measuring voltage across a Current shunt , using Ohm s Law (I=E/R). Accurate electrical Current measurement is critical to the power and electrical test industries. In cooperation with the NCSLI Utilities Committee, Ohm-Labs performed a North American 100 Ampere inter-laboratory comparison (ILC). The results revealed common errors in Current measurement and uncertainty budgeting.
