CHAPTER 4 RESIDENTIAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY
CHAPTER 4 RESIDENTIAL ENERGY EFFICIENCYSECTION CHAPTER applies to RESIDENTIAL shall comply with Sections 401, , , and , , , and (referred to as the mandatory provisions) and either:1. Sections through , and (pre-scriptive); or2. Section 405 (performance). ENERGY performance level (EPL) display official shall require that an ENERGY performance level(EPL) display card be completed and certified by the builder tobe accurate and correct before final approval of the building foroccupancy. Florida law (Section ,Florida Statutes)requires the EPL display card to be included as an addendum toeach sales contract for both presold and nonpresold residentialbuildings. The EPL display card contains information indicat-ing the ENERGY performance level and efficiencies of compo-nents installed in a dwelling unit. The building official shallverify that the EPL display card completed and signed by thebuilder accurately reflects the plans and specifications submit-ted to demonstrate code compliance for the building.
