The purpose of this Chapter is to introduce another representationof DISCRETE -time signals, thediscrete FOURIER TRANSFORM (DFT),which is closely related to thediscrete-time FOURIER TRANSFORM , and can be implemented either in digital hardware or in soft-ware.
