He is about to fulfill the prophecy of the passover . The passover was a shadow of the hand of God on His people. Question What new idea does Jesus explain to the Apostles at this last passover Meal? 1. He gave thanks to God for the bread. 2. He told the disciples to take and eat the bread; the bread was His body. 3. He gave thanks to God for the cup.
