Compressed air is safe, economical, adaptable and easily transmitted and provides labor saving power. The cost of a complete Compressed air System and pneumatic tools is relatively small in comparison with the savings effected by their of the Compressed Air Distribution SystemThe primary object of a Compressed air distribution System is to transport the Compressed air from its point of production (compressors) to its points of use (applications) in sufficient quantity and quality and at adequate pressure for effi-cient operation of air tools and other pneumatic devices.
Air consump-tion for such cylinders is shown in Table 4.3. This table shows the theoretical volume swept out by the piston during one full stroke. For demand calculation purposes, this volume at pressure must be converted into a flow rate of free air.
