Page | 1 HANDMADE GOLD & GEMS-SET jewellery MASTER MAKER (HAND) curriculum / SYLLABUS This program is aimed at training candidates for the job of a Handmade Gold & Gems-Set jewellery Master Maker (Hand) in the Gem & jewellery Sector and aims at building the following key competencies amongst the learner. - Draw jewellery designs - Maintain IPR and respect copyright - Draw wire or strip from precious metal or alloy bar - Coordinate with co-workers - Make ball from precious metal or alloy - Maintain safe work environment - Stamp the gold sheet - Use embossing technique to make jewellery components from precious metals - Make gold chain - Paint with enamle colours on jewellery frame - Make the jewellery frame of gold or alloy - Make components, frame, Kundan (24KT gold) and silver foils - Set gemstones on jewellery frame - Set gemstones using Jadau technique and string This course encompasses 10 out of 14 National Occupational Standards (NOS) of Handmade Gold & Gems-Set jewellery Master Maker (Hand) Qualification Pack issued by Gem & jewellery Skill Council of India.
