DC Stations, Section 14, pipe Patching Tip 013: Jubilee pipe Patch on a Secured System Jubilee pipe Patches are used in repairing damaged piping to stop or slow down a leak. They are made for specific size piping so that they can be quickly applied. The Jubilee pipe Patch will easily hold pressures upwards of 100 psi. Banding pipe Patch Step 1. Isolate the system. Step 2. Remove lagging if appicable. Step 3. Cut off any protruding edges with a hack saw or hammer them flush. Step 4. Loosen and remove all through hole fasteners. For slip type fasteners DO NOT REMOVE, loosen and leave in place. Step 5. Spread apart opening of Jubilee pipe patch and place over the piping next to the damage. Step 6. Insert removed fasteners from the patch or latch slip type fasteners over their retainer. Step 7. Tighten the fasteners enough to hold it in place while allowing it to slide and rotate freely on the piping.
