DC Stations, Section 14, pipe Patching Tip 013: Jubilee pipe Patch on a Secured System Jubilee pipe Patches are used in repairing damaged piping to stop or slow down a leak. Tighten the fasteners enough to hold it in place while allowing it to slide and rotate freely on the piping.

2 Slide over damaged piping. Step 8. Rotate the patch until it fully covers the damage. Patch opening should be turned 90 from damage. Step 9. Using a socket or adjustable wrench, tighten the fasteners, alternating between sides until the patch is securely fastened. Step 10. Re-pressurize system slowly and check for leaks. ADDITIONAL TIPS: 1. Some Jubilee pipe patches are labeled with their size on them for quick and easy identification. 2. Proper sizing of a Jubilee pipe patch is vital to its effectiveness. 3. Jubilee patches with slip type fasteners are easiest applied by one person. 4. Jubilee patches with through hole fasteners are best applied with two personnel.
