Plan 10 SPD-Rev. 1/15 1 INTRODUCTION This booklet is a Summary Plan Description for Plan 10- Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Plans. Defined Benefit Plan This Plan was developed for all: (1) uniform police employees hired or, in some cases rehired, on or after January 1, 2010; (2) uniform fire employees hired or, in some cases, rehired on or after October 15, 2010; (3) employees of the Sheriff s Office represented by Lodge 5 of the FOP hired or, in some cases, rehired on or after January 1, 2012; (4) employees represented by DC 47 hired or, in some cases, rehired on or after March 5, 2014.
