The following is a list of the protections built into your POWERTEC motors include an internal thermal switch which provides protection for the motor windings. Inorder to properly protect the motor, this switch MUST be connected to the motor controller as indicated in thedrive instruction manual. The action of the switch opening in the circuit must be such that the drive is shut offbefore damaging temperatures are provides current limiting protection in the drive. This protection is adjustable from 0 to 150%of the motor controller output provides instantaneous overcurrent protection which will shut off the controller if peak currentsgreater than 300% of the RMS rating provides sub-cycle time, fast clearing fuses in the three AC input legs to the drive.
