Turkey heat Setting is an important step in the production of synthetic yarns. It imposes a thermo forming on fibres at temperatures higher than their glass transition temperature, and induces changes in fibre crystallinity, chain ordering, etc. These rearrangements are retained in the fibre as a memory- Effect , and affect both the physical properties of the fibres and the degree of dye uptake, shrink resistance, dimensional stability, temperature resistance, and wrinkle resistance.
