Introduction Europe s achievements in rolling out the COVID-19 vaccination campaign and mitigating the socio-economic impact of the pandemic, have laid the ground for a sustained recovery. Close to three quarters of adult Europeans are now fully vaccinated, placing the EU among the world s leaders in this respect. Moreover, Europe delivered over 1 billion doses to the rest of the world more than the number delivered at home.
