At times, the Madden Julian-Oscillation (MJO) has contributed to the eastward propagation of low-level wind anomalies. Since the beginning of the period, easterly wind anomalies have generally dominated over the central and east-central Pacific, except for breaks during early-to-mid-August, late October, and late December.
