Model-based development processes have increasingly been adopted for the development of automotive embedded control software to help implement the complex systems and reduce the development time. Model-based and Autocode technology has become mature and brings many advantages in automotive software development. In parallel, consortium of major OEMs and suppliers are driving towards standard specification of automotive software architecture, AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System Architecture).
