FIVE-YEARINTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT plan JULY 2017 JUNE 2022AS AMENDED FOR 2021/22 The City of Cape Town reviewed its term-of-office INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT plan (IDP) in the 2020/21 financial year in line with section 34 of the Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000 and has consequently amended the IDP as needed in terms of the aforementioned legislation, as well as section 3 of the Local Government: Municipal Planning and Performance Management Regulations, 2001. The 2021/22 amendments are highlighted in are proud that our IDP remains the strategic driverof both our budget and our performance management this way, we pursue real DEVELOPMENT and opportunities,and also offer civil society the opportunity to measure our progress against our IDP global Covid-19 pandemic has necessitated a shift in the way we respond to the needs of residents.
THE INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT PLAN — ANNUAL CYCLE The IDP is a five-year plan required in terms of the Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000. This legislation states that an IDP is the principle strategic planning instrument which guides and informs all planning, development and decisions in the municipality.
