The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate certain food additives and contaminants. Dr A. Mattia, Center for food Safety and Applied Nutrition, United States food and Drug Administration, served as Chairperson, and Mrs I. Meyland, National food Institute, Technical University of Denmark, served as Vice-Chairperson.
