In case of any railroad request for horizontal clearance(s) exceeding the values shown, a statement of justification is required. A statement for additional space for off-track equipment (8 feet maximum) shall also be required. For two or more tracks, if the railroad company requests CLEARANCES for off-track equipment on both sides, elaboration of specifics of the need(s), not mere affirmation is needed. On curved track, horizontal clearance shall be increased 1 per degree of curvature.
