Segregation waswhen people were separated based on the color of their Black people were not allowed to be treated in the samehospitals as white people. They could not go to the samerestaurants. They could not use the same water fountains. Blackchildren could not go to the same schools as white could not use the same playgrounds as white Black people had to ride in the back of public buses. Black people had no choicebut to follow these unfair rules every day. One day, RosaParks was told to give up her seat as well, but she decidedthat she would not give up her seat to the white man.
