Guidance on Manufactured Home Space Rental Assistance
The Housing Choice Voucher Program Guidance on Manufactured home Space Rental Assistance October 2017. Section 8(o)(12) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 1437f(o)(12)). provides that a public housing agency (PHA) may make Housing Choice Voucher (HCV). Rental Assistance payments on behalf of a family that owns a Manufactured home , utilizes it as their principal place of residence, and rents the real property on which the Manufactured home is located. On July 29, 2016, HOTMA was signed into law. Section 112 of HOTMA amends section 8(o)(12) of the United States Housing Act of 1937.
Manufactured Home Space Rental and Other Special Housing Types In accordance with §982.601, the PHA may permit a family to use any of the following special housing types in accordance with requirements of the program: • Single room occupancy (SRO) housing • Congregate housing • Group home • Shared housing • Manufactured home when the family …
