This Report shows just how far Barnardo s has grown; from Dr Thomas Barnardo s work, helping the street children of East London over 150 years ago, to supporting over 272,000 children, young people, parents and carers across the UK today. I am delighted that, despite the tough economic challenges, last year we increased the number of services we provide to over 1,000, whilst over the past three years Barnardo s has grown by over 20 per as these numbers are, they tell us very little about how these children s lives were transformed for the better.
