INSTALLATION , operation and MAINTENANCE must be performed by qualified personnel. Familiarization with and adherence to NEMA MG2, the National Electric Code, and local codes is recommended. It is important to observe safety precautions to protect personnel from possible injury. Personnel should be instructed to: 1. Disconnect all power to motor and accessories prior to initiating any INSTALLATION , MAINTENANCE or repairs. Also ensure that driven equipment connected to the motor shaft will not cause the motor to rotate (windmilling of fans, water flowing back through pump, etc.). 2.
