This may occur because of a property promotion, service recovery, compensation for a walked Guest, or an above-property initiative. All entries over 10,000 points or 3,000 miles must be approved by an approver different than the person that posted the entry, within 48 hours of the initial entry, to meet the timeframe communicated to the Member. The points or miles that are issued with a property bonus are charged to the hotel as an expense. Users must complete training on the Digital Learning Platform (DLP), request access through Identity Shoppe, and be approved by their supervisor, prior to using the tool.
LOYALTY > EBOUS APPROVALS Email Confirmation to a Member The Marriott Bonvoy Member receives the points or miles immediately upon approval of the entry. They receive a confirmation email that includes the issuing property, the title of the bonus (the reason selected in the Bonus field), and the amount of points or miles issued.
