Marine Environmental Awareness ( strctr -710). Length 20 hours (2-1/2 days). Objective Each student who successfully completes this course will be knowledgeable of operational Awareness on the prevention of pollution on board the vessel and raise Awareness of the cause and effects of Marine pollution. The students will understand the history of Marpol 73/78 and the following: x Identify the technical annexes of Marpol 73/78. x Become familiar with domestic laws and regulations relating to the Marine environment x Comprehend the criminal liability for the violation of law, both domestic and internationally x Become aware of the required documentation and record keeping required for compliance x Increase Awareness of current Marine Environmental issues This Course is USCG Approved and STCW Compliant.
