Weber, Academic Press, 6th is an introductory course at the graduate level that cov-ers several basic tools of mathematics that you will need to master, in order toimprove your understanding of advanced physics . The course will cover most orall of the material (listed below) from the textbook. Most of you have probablycovered Fourier series and Fourier and Laplace transforms during your under-graduate Mathematical physics courses, so I might spend less time on thesesubjects than the other topics. We will discuss this issue when we get to thatpart of the course. Classes will be a mix of lectures and student board the latter case I will ask you to solve a problem on the board, and if you getstuck, I will try to help.
