Individual animalidentification allows producers tokeep records on an animal's parentage,birth date, production records, healthhistory, and a host of other importantmanagement information. Accuraterecords provide the producer withenough information to make indi-vidual or whole herd/flock manage-ment decisions. In many instances,the producer needs to be able toquickly identify an animal. A suc-cessful identification system makesthis task more efficient.
