Minimum Qualifications and Local Standards Updated 1/18/2018 Disciplines with Local Standards Administration of Justice Bachelor s degree in administration of justice, criminal justice, criminology, law enforcement, police science or public administration, with a Minimum of 24 semester units of coursework in criminal or administration of justice, from an accredited college or university; AND a Minimum of ten (10) years of full-time paid professional work experience in a public, general service, law enforcement agency at the federal, state, or Local level. Law degrees ( , , and ) are NOT considered equivalent to the above degrees. Anthropology Master s or in anthropology or archaeology OR the equivalent. Athletic Training Master s degree in athletic training, kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, physiology of exercise, adapted physical education, health education, dance, life sciences, recreation, or physical therapy, OR the equivalent; AND is a certified athletic trainer (ATC).
